Each upazila has one social service office. This office is managed under the Department of Social Welfare under Social Welfare Ministry and is controlled by the Deputy Director of the district.

Notable programs of Upazila Social Welfare Office are: - In the socio-social development service activities, rural maternity care, rehabilitation and relief activities for the disabled and disabled people, shelter / housing program is one of the most important.
